Why Are My Streams Different on the App and One Music Records Dashboard?

If you notice a difference between the streams shown on music platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and the streams displayed on One Music Records Dashboard, here’s why:

1️⃣ Real-Time vs. Processed Data

• Streaming platforms (like Spotify, Apple Music) show real-time or near real-time streams on their apps.

• One Music Records Dashboard displays processed and finalized streams that are reported by stores after verification.

• Some stores report streams daily, weekly, or even monthly, which may cause a delay in updates.

2️⃣ Filtered vs. Unfiltered Streams

• Streaming platforms count all plays, including bot-generated, skipped, or invalid streams.

• Stores send filtered reports to distributors, removing fraudulent or invalid streams, which may result in a lower final count.

3️⃣ Reporting Delays from Stores

• Some platforms take longer to send streaming data to distributors.

• For example, Spotify may show immediate streams, but the final store report (used for revenue calculations) comes later.

4️⃣ Revenue-Based Streams Only

• The One Music Records Dashboard only reflects monetized streams, meaning:

   ❌ Free-tier or invalid streams may not be counted.

5️⃣ When Will My Streams & Revenue Be Updated?

• After your song is approved, the first streams & revenue update will appear after 2 months.

• Example:

  • If your song gets approved before the 15th of this month, your first revenue and streams report will be updated on the 20th, two months later.

What Should You Do?

• Wait for store reports to update – It may take time for the numbers to sync.
