Important Notes While Uploading Your Release

To ensure a smooth and error-free release process, follow these important guidelines when uploading your music on One Music Records:

1. Artist Name & Profile Mapping

  • Make sure the artist name is correct and consistent across all releases to avoid profile mismatches.

  • If you are a new artist, check if your name is already in use to prevent incorrect mapping.

2. Audio File Requirements

  • Upload high-quality WAV or FLAC files (16-bit/44.1kHz or higher).

  • Ensure the final mastered file is free from distortions, clipping, or background noise.

3. Metadata Accuracy

  • Double-check song titles, artist names, and featured artists to avoid corrections later.

  • Do not use extra symbols, emojis, or special characters unless necessary.

4. Cover Art Guidelines

  • The cover art should be minimum 3000x3000 pixels in PNG or JPG format.

  • Do not include logos of streaming platforms, social media handles, or misleading text.

  • Ensure the artwork is original and does not violate copyright policies.

5. Genre & Language Selection

  • Select the most appropriate primary and secondary genres for better discoverability.

  • Mention the correct language of the song to avoid incorrect categorization.

6. Featuring & Collaborations

  • If your song has a featured artist or additional singer, mention them properly in the "feat." field.

  • If the featured artist has an existing profile on Spotify or Apple Music, add their profile links in the "Additional Remarks" section to ensure the correct profile mapping.

  • Producers, lyricists, and composers should be credited under the correct sections.

7. Release Date & Pre-Save Option

  • Choose a realistic release date (minimum 7 days in advance for standard releases).

  • For pre-save campaigns, schedule your release at least 3-4 weeks in advance.

8. Copyright & Ownership

  • Ensure you have the legal rights to distribute the music.

  • Do not upload remixes, covers, or instrumentals of copyrighted content without proper licenses.

9. Store & Platform Selection

  • Carefully select the stores where you want your music to be distributed.

  • If you want a specific platform priority (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.), ensure proper metadata entry.

10. Final Review & Submission

  • Before submitting, review all details carefully to avoid delays due to corrections.

  • Once submitted, track your release status on the One Music Records Dashboard.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure a hassle-free distribution process and avoid common errors that may delay your release. 🚀
