Release approval terms and conditions - last updated on 18th September 2024

All capitalised terms used but not defined herein will have the same meaning as set out in the Release approval terms and conditions.

 

The following type of releases will not be approved -

1) Release title same as popular songs: Titles identical or similar to well-known songs are not approved. This prevents confusion and ensures originality in the catalog.

2) Music sample used in loop: Content using loops of music samples is not permitted. This maintains the integrity of original compositions and avoids potential copyright issues.

3) Generic Basic Audio / Unclear Audio: Music that is overly simplistic in composition, lacks complexity, or contains technical issues such as poor sound quality, distorted audio, or unclear vocals will not be approved. This includes audio that is hard to understand due to low production standards, excessive noise, or improper mixing. Releases of this nature are often repetitive, uninspired, and lack the emotional depth or creative nuances required for approval.


4) Basic Instrumental Music: Compositions with minimalistic instrumentation, featuring uncomplicated beats and rhythms. Prioritizes simplicity over complexity, often sounding sparse or "empty" to listeners. Typically used as background music rather than for immersive musical experiences.

5) Religious, Devotional, Festival, Folk songs: Releases with religious themes or content related to festivals or folk songs are not approved.

6) Songs relating to religious beliefs: Content directly or indirectly related to religious beliefs is not permitted.

7) Songs promoting political parties: Content endorsing political parties directly or indirectly is not allowed.

8) Songs with vulgar or hate spreading lyrics: Releases containing offensive or hateful language are not approved.

9) Apotheosis content: Content glorifying individuals or entities excessively is not permitted.

10) Words relating to religious beliefs: Lyrics containing religious terminology are not approved, such as "Saato janam" (seven lifetimes).

11) Insulting individuals, groups, teams, or companies: Content that insults or disparages specific entities is not allowed.

12) Sampled music containing songs: Any use of music samples containing copyrighted songs, regardless of licensing, is not permitted. This ensures compliance with copyright laws and protects against potential legal issues.

13) Free for profit beats: Releases using beats labeled as "free for profit" are not approved.

14) Shayris, speeches, poetries: Spoken word content such as speeches or poetry is not permitted.

15) Covers, remixes, mashups, lofis, slowed and reverb songs: Releases that are covers, remixes, mashups, or altered versions (such as slowed or reverb) of existing songs are not approved.

 

16) Generic Artist(s): Releases uploaded of generic artists who aren't an artist or does not have their social media profile portraying them as artists. Artists with generic social media profiles with non-artistic posts portraying them as non-artist/non-singer/non-musician, releases will be rejected of these artists.

 

17) AI generated Music / Vocals: Releases uploaded where the music or vocals or melodies generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not approved.

 

18) Release title same as popular songs or movies: Titles identical or similar to well-known songs or movies, or releases that appear to leverage the popularity of existing media through similar naming, will not be approved. This ensures originality and avoids misleading audiences.

19) Any other content close to these types will also be not approved.

For the following type of releases, you might receive warning strikes -

1) Sampled music containing songs
2) Free for profit beats
3) Covers, remixes, mashups, lofis, slowed and reverb songs
4) Music sample used in loop
5) Any other content close to the above types

​

 

These guidelines are subject to change at any time and will be implemented immediately.
